West Beach facts and information West Beach is a small upmarket residential area of Blouberg approximately 17 kms from Cape Town city centre. Main access from Cape Town is via the R27 highway after leaving the N1 freeway. Blouberg's white sandy beaches can be reached in ten minutes at most from any spot within the West Beach suburb. From the beach there are views across the bay to the city nestled at the foot of Table Mountain and out across the ocean to Robben Island. Shopping centres, supermarkets, cinemas and other entertainments are all available in the adjacent suburbs of Parklands and Table View (Bayside Centre).
