The beach at Fish Hoek is considered to be one of the safe bathing beaches in the False Bay area and is very popular with families. Sailing regattas are a regular feature. A walk along the Jagers Walk pathway which runs along the edge of the bay is a pleasant experience. Fish Hoek was until quite recently a liquor free town, however you can enjoy a good wine or beer in the restaurants today. The area around the town is residential and quiet though the main road can get busy with visitors and traffic.
