About Century City
Century City is a recently developed suburb of Cape Town situated about
10kms from the city centre on the main N1 highway approximately 10 kms
from Cape Town city centre. Originally the two main
developments were Canal Walk shopping centre, which is now the largest
shopping mall in Africa, and Ratanga Junction theme and amusement park.
Many other buildings have now been added including both
residential and business properties. The Century City development was originally
a wetland area and to comply with the conservation regulations many of the water features
have been preserved including the 16 hectare Intaka island.
