Blaauwberg, Blouberg facts and informationBlouberg or Blaauwberg is one of the six Cape Town municipalities which includes a number of suburbs including the areas of Bloubergstrand and Bloubergrant. Approximately 15 kms from the centre of Cape Town city on the west coast side of the Cape. The main R27 highway from Cape Town passes directly through Blouberg and onward along the west coast. Residents of Blouberg refer to the road as "The West Coast Road". Blouberg beaches are of white sand and stretch for long distances. Recent times have seen a large expansion of buildings which include many residential and holiday properties, shopping centres, hospital and leisure facilities.
